School Tax Relief Credit

(STAR)

Congratulations! You've closed on your new home — now it's time to register for your STAR Credit Program.

New Basic and Enhanced STAR applicants must register with the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance to receive a STAR check.

Register online — it just takes a few minutes: STAR Program Website.

Property owners without access to a computer can register by phone at (518) 457-2036 on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Register by July 1st to receive your check in September. If you register after July 1st, you'll receive your check at a later date.

Please call the Assessor's Office at (845) 832-6111 Ext. 105 if you have any questions or concerns.  Our Office is open by appointment during regular business hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
