New DEC Hunter Education Course

From April 13, 2020 until June 30, 2020, the NYS DEC has set up and approved an on line Hunter Education Course for first-time hunters who want to hunt during New York's turkey hunting season.

The curriculum is identical to what is taught in the traditional classroom course. Students who successfully complete the online course and pass the final exam will receive a hunter education certificate and may purchase a hunting license from a DEC license-issuing agent.

The cost of the course is $19.95. The course is available to individuals age 11 and older. Traditional, classroom-based courses will resume at a future date.

For more information or to take the course visit hunter-ed.com
