Dutchess County Dept. of Public Works Announcement- Replacement of Bridge on Ridge Road over Mill River in Town of Dover

Dutchess County Dept. of Public Works notified the Town of Dover today (March 15, 2024) that work will begin on replacing the bridge on Ridge Rd. over the Mill River in the Town of Dover on or about the week of March 25, 2024.  

The installation of temporary traffic signals is anticipated to begin on or about the week of March 25th and the project will involve the demolition of the existing bridge, and replacement with a new, wider bridge that will include 3-foot shoulders. The project will also include improvements to the curvature of the road.  Ridge Road will remain open during the project as a temporary bridge will be installed adjacent to the construction site.  The project is anticipated to be complete, with new bridge open to traffic, by the end of this year.
