About the Law
The Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) provides rights of access to accessible records that are kept, held, filed, produced or reproduced by a local government or state agency.
How to Apply
Application for Public Access to Records (FOIL) forms should include a specific description of the record requested and be submitted in writing or by e-mail. Forms are also available at the Town Clerk's Office.
Reproduction fees apply at a cost of 25¢ per 8 1/2 x 11" page and $1.00 for a CD.
Electronic copies of public records in response to FOIL requests are provided at no cost.
